You may be a candidate for treatment with IV ketamine therapy  if you have had an adequate trial of at least 2 different oral antidepressants and have failed to achieve adequate relief of your severe depression. There are certain medical conditions that may exclude you from IV ketamine therapy treatment such as a recent heart attack or stent placement, poorly controlled high blood pressure, recent or current use of MAO inhibitors or a history of schizophrenia. After your initial consultation Dr. Culver will be able to tell you if IV ketamine treatment is advisable in your particular case.
